The Mayan civilization was a very complex society but many of the Mayans believe that they are descendants of the Mongolian people because of the birthmark on their butt when they are born. Also, their bible the Popol Vuh they explain their descendants.
The Mayan were very technologically advanced in from their calendar to their city development. For instance, the building on the right is a temple but it is also a light house in Tulum. The photo on the left is the Temple in Chichen Itza where the stair rails on the sides represent the snake and comes to life during the different solstice.
